E-MAIL: Nancy A. Robb, nrobb@ba1.jsc.nasa.gov. NASA/JSC is hereby soliciting information for potential sources for a GPS-based Flight Management System (FMS). Desired information includes capabilities, rough order of magnitude price, and availability of an off-the shelf GPS-based FMS for integration into NASA's fleet of T-38 aircraft. Navigation data from the FMS will be displayed on an Allied Signal EFIS 50. The system should presently support enroute navigation and non-precision approach and have growth capability for precision approach when approved by the FAA. It is highly desirable that the system has multi-sensor capability. The system will operate in a tandem (FCP,RCP) configuration. Data entry must be observable on both display screens in real time. Maximum control display unit size is 4.50 in. x 5.75 in. x 6.5 in.(HxWxD). No solicitation exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the solicitation.
