(202)287-3665. The Smithsonian Institution is seeking bids to furnish
all supervision, labor, materials, equipment, and miscellaneous items
necessary to furnish emergency generator, scissors lift and other
loading lock door modifications, re-roofing, and waterproofing and
restoration of existing brick walls at the Smithsonian Institution's
National Museum of the American Indian Research Branch, 3401 Bruckner
Boulevard, Bronx, NY 10461. This work includes, but is not limited to
providing: emergency power distribution system and, concrete pad;
scissors lift and concrete pit; steel bollards; revision to steel
doors; demolition of asbestos-containing roof; new built-up roofing;
masonry removal/restoration, flashing, caulking, metal siding, and
other repairs to parapets, exterior brick walls, and filled-in windows
to stop water penetration. Building roof area is approximately 7000
s.f., at 4 stories in height. Copies of the Request For
