Y -- CONSTRUCTION OF 50 UNITS OF TEMPORARY LODGING FACILITIES, DAVIS MONTHAN AFB, TUCSON, ARIZONA. SOL NAF5C3-97-B-0019 DUE 060997 POC Michael Taggart, Contract Specialist (212)264-0154. Description of Work: This project consists of the construction of five buildings of approximating 7563 square feet (702.6 square meters) per building of Air Force Temporary Lodging Facilities. In addition, one service building of 1114 square feet (103.5 square meters) will be constructed on the site. The building construction consists of a residental wood frame structure, split face block veneer exterior walls, concrete slab on grade foundation and metal standing seam roof. Also included will be parking facilities, utilities, access drives, and landscaping. The plans and specifications have been placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge. Plans and Specifications will not be provided in printed paper hard copy format. If the contractor wishes to have a printed hard copy of the solicitation, New York District will provide a list of printing firms that have been used in the past who can provide a hard copy of the plans and specifications. The printing firms on the list will have the CD-ROM for this solicitation. It will be the contractors responsibility to pay the printer any and all costs associated in the reproduction and distribution (i.e. postage, handling charges) of plans and specifications. Notification of amendments shall be made through either 3.5" diskette, CD-ROM, and/or the internet. It is therefore the contractors reponsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation. Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from the internet at the following internet address: "http://ebs.nan.usace.army.mil/". At bid openning, all required bid forms must be submitted in hard copy format. This procurement is unrestricted. Estimated construction cost range of project is 1,000,000.00 to 5,000,000.00. Sic No. is 1522. Duration of project is 310 calendar days from the receipt of the Notice to Proceed. Plans and specifications will be available on or about 09 May 1997.
