The National Institutes of Health intends to procure custodial services that will meet the needs of NIH facilities located in Bethesda, MD and satellite facilities located in Rockville and Poolesville, MD. The Government contemplates award of a fixed-price, indefinite quantity, indefinite delivery type contract with a maximum square footage of 3,500,000 and a minimum of 500,000. The square footage to be serviced under this contract is categorized into five groups -- public, staff, health, support, exterior. The resultant contract will be structured to allow NIH the option of selecting the performance level of services to be provided (i.e., minimal, fair, good, very good, and outstanding) at a fixed price per square foot. The contract shall be for a 12 month basic period with four 12-month option periods. The solicitation will be issued on or about 4/25/97. Closing date for receipt of proposals will be 30 calendar days after issuance. This requirement is being offered for competition limited to eligible 8(a) concerns under SIC Code 7349 only.
