Battelle is seeking sources for conducting a product line design and
economic analysis for mass fabrication of microthermal and chemical
systems under subcontract. Initially we are interested in evaluating
the production costs associated with high volume production of a
compact microtechnology based absorption cycle heat pump for
manportable, automotive and residential space heating applications. The
successful company will have a proven track record in product design,
development and manufacturing of assembled systems as well as expertise
in low cost LIGA and high volume conventional fabrication techniques.
Expertise in specialized fabrication techniques such as LIGA can either
be available from in-house sources or by teaming with other
organizations. This work may lead to opportunities for licensing or
other partnering arrangements to commercialize Battelle's proprietary
microtechnology systems for both government and commercial
applications. Interested parties should send a letter of interest and
qualifications to Carl Imhoff at 509-375-4328 (voice), 509-375-3614
(fax), ch_imhoff@pnl.gov. (0093) Loren Data Corp. http://www.ld.com (SYN# 0017 19970407\A-0017.SOL)
