Z -- DESIGN AND FABRICATE AIRCRAFT PAINT BOOTH INSERT SOL FA6648-97-B0001 DUE 042197 POC Billie Jo Cherico, (305)224-7473 Scope of work consists of designing, fabricating, and installing an aircraft paint booth into an existing facility at Homestead Air Reserve Station, Dade County, Homestead, FL., located approximately thirty miles south of Miami, FL. Booth insert should be sized to accomodate an F-16 fighter aircraft and an HH-60 helicopter. Approximate sizse is 80' long x 56' wide, with a minimum clearnace height of 22'. The paint booth shall consist essentially of the following major componenets: paint booth insert enclosure; interior fire protection system; interior illumination system; environmental pollution control system; ventilation, heating/evaporative system; exhaujst system; and electrical sysem to include controls. Paint booth and all related systems shall meet applicable OSHA and AFOSH 127.17 Standards in effect at state, Dade County DERM, and federal. Contractor shall obtain and submit to government prior to construction, the completed "Authority to Construct/Permit to Operate" (ATC/PTO) DERM permit application(s) and rendering payment for same. The SIC Code is 1541. Magnitude of construction is $500,000 to $1M. Performance period is 240 calendar days (120 for fabrication and 60 for installation). Acquisition is to be a Two-Step Sealed Bid. Step I is the technical proposal stage. The next synopsis will have the evaluation criteria. It is anticipated that a request for technical proposals will be issued on or about 10 May 97. Dates are for estimating purposes only and may be revised as indicated in the IFB. Only those technical proposals that are deemed accetable, will receive Step II of the package, which is for pricing only.
