76 -- DIGITAL DATA MAPS SOL 143868-RFP97-12111 POC Kathleen S. Oberle 412/937-2838 OSM intends to issue a Request for Proposals to supply digitized maps utilizing full and open competition. The solicitation shall be for an estimated quantity of 42 maps, estimated price range is $75,000 -- $125,000. Maps shall be created in AUTOCAD release 12 (.DWG) with all coverages broken into separate drawing layers according to nomenclature and specifications. Vendors shall use the most recent release of USGS 7.5' quandrangles for the specified portions of the Tennessee coalfield area. The digital map data is to be TN State plane NAD 27 coordinates, and is to be produced from stable base film originals purchased from USGS or TVA by the vendor. All digital maps shall be on CD-ROM and delivered to Knoxville, TN within six months after contract award. It is anticipated that a firm fixed price contract will be awarded. Solicitation packages should be available 15 days after publication of this notice.
