A brief description of this requirement is for the configuration, development and implementation of a Virtual Reality application system more specifically known as a spatial disorientation simulation system. The Aeromedical Education Division of the Civil Aeromedical Institute (CAMI) of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is exploring potential practical applications for the technology commonly referred to as Virtual Reality (VR) to instruct FAA flight crews, Aviation Medical Examiners (AME's) and civil aviation pilots in safety issues related to aviation medicine, aviation physiology, and human factors.
