Thompson, 301-344-0298 The work to be performed consists of furnishing all plant, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform demolition of existing buildings; site preparation and utility work; and construction of a new research laboratory and office facility at the Subtropical Agricultural Research Laboratory (SARL) in Weslaco, Texas. The new facility is approximately 24,000 gross square feet and will house the Crop Quality and Fruit Insect Research Unit and the SARL laboratory director and support staff. The estimated cost of construction is between $4,000,000 and $5,000,000. Solicitation packages will be available on or about April 28, 1997.
