COMMERCE BUSINESS DAILY ISSUE OF MARCH 20,1997 PSA#1806SP -- TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT OF SMALL DISADVANTAGED BUSINESSES
(TADSBAT) The National Aeronautics and Space Administration's Office of
Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) seeks to increase
the number of Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDBs) that successfully
compete for and win NASA contracts and subcontracts. This unique and
dynamic training program represents a pro-active approach to increasing
the participation of SDBs in NASA's program. TADSBAT is designed for
SDBs wanting to enter into the world of NASA high tech contracts. The
TADSBAT training program has two phases: a basic and an advanced
course. TADSBAT I -- The basic course is designed to provide an insight
into the NASA acquisition culture. The course provides linkage to
management strategies, proposal evaluation procedures, as well as
programmatic approaches to successfully compete in NASA's technical
aerospace arena. TADSBAT II -- The advanced course is designed to
provide a more comprehensive and indepth understanding of business
principles and the NASA acquisition environment. The majorfocus of
TADSBAT II is the enhancement of marketing strategies, financial
management and control techniques, and proposal content/format.
Eligibility Requirements: Basic Course: Companies must have been in
business for no less than 2 years. Advanced Course: Companies must have
completed the Basic TADSBAT Course or have been in business for no less
than 5 years. 1997 Course Dates and Locations: TADSBAT I Basic Course
