The Carderock Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Purchase Branch Philadelphia intends to contract for engineering and technical services in support of test site design, Hull, Mechanical and Electrical (HM&E) test and Evaluation at their Philadelphia site. The estimated level of effort is 576,250 hours of direct labor for a period of sixty 60 months. Principal tasks will include conceptual, preliminary and detailed design of test sites, conducting test and evaluation of systems and equipment under the cognizance of NSWCCD-SSES; technical documentation and graphics preparation. The facility designs may range from small test stands to full propulsion systems and anciliary equipment. It is estimated that approximately 90 percent of the required designs will relate to HM&E systems and 10 percent to submarine antenna and periscope systems.
