(NETC), National Fire Academy (NFA), has a requirement to design,
develop, pilot and finalize course materials for "Emergency Medical
Services Special Operations". The development of this training program
will prepare EMS leaders to anticipate and handle Special Operations.
The Contractor shall be required to perform the following tasks: (a)
attend meetings, walk-throughs, pilots and debriefing sessions, (b)
develop the following: instructor guide, student manual and audiovisual
media. The period of performance will be from date of award through
July 31, 1998. The contractor will be required to submit a detailed
work plan indicating how it intends to perform the services required in
the Statement of Work. Award of a firm-fixed price purchase order,
utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures (actions estimated under
$100K), is anticipated. The Request for Quotation (RFQ) will be
available on or about March 31, 1997; quotations due on or about April
14, 1997. All requests for the RFQ must be submitted in writing or may
be faxed to (301) 447-1092. The anticipated award date is April 28,
1997. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The
applicable Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 8299,
Schools and Educational Services, N.E.C., with a size standard of $5.0
million average annual receipts for three preceding fiscal years.
