71 -- FOLDING TABLE LEGS SOL 1PI-B-1989-97 DUE 041497 POC Purchasing Agent, MACALUSO, PETER, 202/305-7308 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 1PI-B-1989-97 is issued as an invitation to bid (IFB). This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-43. The purchase is for folding table legs. The estimated quantity over the five year duration of the contract is 3,000 each. The quantity variation is +/- 5%. The minimum amount per delivery order is 100 each, the maximum amount is 600 each. The specifications are: T-base table leg (folding); square steel tube 30X30X1.5mm; feet with glides; hinged struts lock in position both open and closed; finish: steel, brown epoxy coated latch and release fitting steel zinc-plated; pivot fitting -- PVC brown. Please note that delivery, inspection, and acceptance, will occur at the FOB point: Federal Correctional Institution Texarkana, UNICOR FPI, Leopard Dr., Texarkana, TX 75501, not later than 45 days after the receipt of an order. FAR Provision 52.212-1 applies to this acquisition. Bidders shall submit a signed and dated bid to UNICOR, Federal Prison Industries (FPI), ATTN: Bid Custodian, at the address below. Bids may be submitted on Standard Form (SF) 1449 or letterhead stationery and must indicate the solicitation number, bid opening date and time, name, address, and telephone number of the bidder. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. The contracting officer will make award in accordance with FAR Provision 52.214-10, Contract Award -- Sealed Bidding. Award will be made without discussions to the responsive/responsible bidder whose bid, conforming to this solicitation will be most advantageous to the Government, considering price, and price related factors. The Government will not evaluate for multiple awards. Bidders must hold bid prices firm for not less than 30 days from the bid opening date. Offerors are advised to include a completed copy of Provision 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with your offer. Any bid that fails to furnish the required representations, and certifications, or which rejects or changes any terms and conditions, may be rejected and excluded from consideration. A written notice of award shall result in a binding contract without any further action by either party.
