STAKEHOLDERS GROUP ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY VERIFICATION PROGRAM
ADVANCE MONITORING SYSTEMS (AMRD-001) The National Exposure Research
Laboratory (NERL), Office of Research and Development (ORD), U.S.
Environmental Protection Agency (US EPA), Research Triangle Park (RTP),
North Carolina 27711 is awarding an assistance agreement for an
Environmental Verification Testing (ETV) Pilot Program for Advanced
Monitoring Systems (Commerce Business Daily notice for December 19,
1997). This program is being designed to systematically conduct
verification testing on commercially-available technologies that are
used to characterize environmental species in air, water, and soil. A
Stakeholders Group will be organized to assist the successful Applicant
develop an overall verification testing strategy and verification test
schedule. The strategy will include establishing media and technology
verification priorities, test protocols (test plans), etc. The
Stakeholders Group is anticipated to be comprised of 25-30
representatives from the following groups or organizations: EPA, other
Federal Agencies, the States, the Regulated Communities, Technology
Vendors/Small Businesses, Associations representing the Regulated
Community and/or Technology Vendors/Small Businesses, Research
Institutions, other Environmental Groups, and other interested
organizations or representatives. It is important to note that the
Stakeholder Group members cannot be associated with the successful
Applicant as either a member of the Applicant's organization or team,
a potential sub-contractor, or as an advisor. The Stakeholder Group is
tentatively scheduled to meet once in Fiscal Year 1997 (August), twice
during Fiscal Year 1998 (December and May) and once a year in Fiscal
Years 1999 and 2000 at a location to be designated in Research Triangle
Park, NC. No funds are currently available to assist Stakeholder Group
members defray costs for travel to/from or pay/per diem for
participation in the Stakeholder Group meetings. The Applicants were
asked to provide nominations for consideration for membership in this
Stakeholders group. In addition, NERL/RTP is also soliciting
nominations of potential Stakeholder Group members from other public
and private sector organizations. This list of nominations will be
provided to the successful Applicant who will select the members of the
Stakeholders Group. Nominations should include the name, organization,
and phone/fax numbers of the nominating official, the name of the
nominee, and a list of specific qualifications and credentials (not to
exceed one typed page) the nominee will bring to the Stakeholders
Group and the overall success of this pilot verification testing
program. Nominations for potential Stakeholder Group members should be
