This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is F04700-97-Q-1026. This is request for quotation (RFQ). Standard industrial classification code: 3663. Small Business Size Standard 750 employees. The requirement is for two each, Ruggedized Miniature Real-Time Multiplexer/Demultiplexer systems. Units must be small and rugged for use in a fighter environment. Each system must be contained in a single enclosure. The systems must be capable of bit rates of up to 240 Mbps. The systems must be capable of controlling one or more Ampex DCRsi 107/240 and Metrum VLDS-B or VLDS-BR recorders. Systems must also be capable of reconstruction of data which was recorded using a CALCULEX ARMOR system. The system must be modular and allow for any combination of PCM, Mil-Std-1553B, and analog inputs and/or outputs. Input voltage will be 28 (+ 4) VDC. Maximum volume for the systems is 310 cubic inches. Maximum weight is 10.5 pounds. Mounting must be flanged mount. The operating temperature range is -35 to +71C. The altitude range is 0 to 80,000 feet. The system must conform to Mil-Std-461 and 462 for EMI/EMC considerations. Random vibration levels are 15 to 2,000 Hz; Overall 9.34 Grms. Shock levels are 25g, half sine, 11 msec. Acceleration level is 15g continuous, any axis. Humidity levels are 0 to 90% RH, non-condensing. Delivery: 60 days after receipt of order.
