Arsenal, NJ, is conducting a market survey to identify potential
sources for Non-Developmental Items(s) (NDI) and/or technologies for a
boresight device that will allow a soldier to boresight laser aiming
devices (PAQ-4's) and thermal weapon sight to his weapon. The desired
characteristics/features for this boresight device(s) are: 1) Capable
of boresighting sights, and accessories to the M4-series carbines, the
M16-series rifles, the M249, M60, M240B, M2 machine guns, and M24
sniper rifle system. 2) Capable of boresighting the PAQ-4A, PAQ-4B,
PAQ4-C, the thermal weapon sight, (iron sights, day optics and the
image intensification devices are desired) to the above mentioned
weapons. 3) Permit the above mentioned systems to be boresighted in
both daylight and night conditions. 4) Be designed so that the operator
can, without the use of tools, make any required adjustment to insure
proper alignment of the boresight device to the weapon. 5) The
boresight device will not require physical modification to the weapons
or sighting devices. 6) Can be utilized to perform boresighting
operations in a typical battlefield environment. 7) Manufactured to
specification and standards that will assure a long life in a military
environment. 8) Can be manufactured, procured, and fielded at a
reasonable cost relative to the weapon it supports. Potential sources
whose product meets the above criteria or has additional features
believed to be desirable for the military application are encouraged to
submit their product specification for review. Responses should consist
of company name, address, point of contact, telephone number, fax
telephone number, business type and size, description of item(s) which
may satisfy the requirement and company brochures/literature regarding
contractor capability. Interested companies should submit their

survey does notconstitute the solicitation of proposals. Participation
in this market survey effort will not affect a company's position
during any follow-up solicitation. All information should be submitted
within 14 days from the date of publication of this notice to the
address noted above. The Government will not pay for any information

shall arise as a result of a response to this market survey. All
