R -- TRANSCRIPTION, DATA INPUT, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM GENERATION SOL F08651-97-Q-1666 DUE 031297 POC Julie Shaddock, Contract Specialist, (904)882-4967, ext 5228, Megan Monaghan, Contracting Officer The Air Force Development Test Center (AFDTC), Eglin AFB, FL, intends to award a contract for direct entry of hand-scribed alpha-numeric data into an automated data base. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary to perform this task. AFDTC is presently producing hand-written alpha-numeric data on standardized worksheets. The contractor shall enter that alpha-numeric data directly into a flat ASCII file, in any spreadsheet format which contains distinct, easily discernible fields. Contractor must create the data base to be compatible with the worksheets which contain the data. AFDTC will provide the worksheets containing the hand-written alpha-numeric characters to be transcribed into the data base. The contractor shall develop a computer program for quality control in which data on each worksheet will be input twice. The second input of data for each worksheet shall be accomplished by a person other than the one who input that data the first time. This quality control program shall detect any inconsistencies between the first and second input effort and shall not allow further entry of data during the second input effort until contractor resolves that inconsistency. AFDTC can furnish the contractor approximately 3600 worksheets by 15 April 1997, and can continue to furnish approximately 300-400 worksheets per week thereafter. AFDTC expects to deliver the final worksheets by 30 June 1997. The contractor shall return all worksheets and deliver the completed ASCII data base to AFDTC/JA-LSU, 501 W.
