A cost estimate is being sought to upgrade a Programmable Signal Processor (PSP), used in the F-16 Block 30, APG-68 radar system, by replacing the PSP power supply. The intent is to allow a contractor the freedom to manufacture the subject power supply using current technology and design that might not be a virtual copy of the original as long as it still functions properly in the intended application, including environmental and storage requirements. The part number of the power supply is 758R804, designed by Westinghouse Corp. The Air Force is looking for a cost estimate on a quantity of (a) 100 and (b) 800 Units. At this time we are only seeking a cost estimate for budgetary purposes. If the cost estimates are satisfactory we will publish another sources sought synopsis in an effort to qualify new sources. Copies of the schematic and test spec are available and will be provided to interested parties. This is not an Invitation for Bids (IFP) or Request for Proposals (RFP), we are only seeking companies who have the necessary capabilities and are interested in providing a cost estimate.
