J -- MANTAIN TELEPHONE SWITCH AND PROVIDE ADDS, MOVES AND CHANGES SOL IFB 667-16-97 DUE 041697 POC Al Negron, 318-424-6062 The purpose of this solicitation is to establish a firm fixed price contract to include all necessary labor, materials, parts, equipment, shipping, and transportation to provide for Adds, Moves, Changes and Growth(follow-on services) and full maintenance of the Government-owned EPABX (ROLM 9751 model 50, ver 6.82 software) telephone system and associated components. The EPABX is equipped to provide 1907 main station lines (MSL's), 60 central office trunks (CO), 20 direct-inward-dial (DID) trunks, 20 federal telephone system (FTS) trunks with three 3 T-1 in support of FTS access. The system also includes 985 single line, 524 multi-line, 36 special purpose phones, 363 patient bedside telephone instruments, voice mail and public address system. Maintenance includes service, repair and replacement of existing equipment, including telephones, if necessary. Bidders must provide evidence and be Certified by the manufacturer as qualified to perform installation, maintenance and service. Bidder must be able to demonstrate that the manufacturer will provide diagnostic support, software and hardware upgrades, and authorize the contractor to sublicense software for use with new systems. The contract award will be for one year from the date of award, with the Government having the option to extend the contract for four (4) additional one-year periods. All work will be performed FOB Destination and the entire system must be maintained in complete working conditions at all times during the contract period.
