Santos (703) 602-3102 EXT 223 This action originally published in the CBD on 4 October 1996 is modified as follows: The Naval Sea Systems Command intends to procure management, engineering, procurement and industrial services to support Emergent Work Requirements for LHD 5 (Bataan)(RAV-1), and Restricted Availability (RAV-2). The contractor will purchase long lead time material, provide associated technical documentation, and perform the RAV, and Emergent Work. The successful offeror will be required to perform the emergent work(RAV-1) at Norfolk Naval Station and RAV-2 at the contractors facility. The 4 October 1996 CBD for N00024-97-R-2200 stated NAVSEA intended to procure Fitting Out and Restricted Availability's and Emergent work to be performed at the successful offeror's facility. Due to ship construction schedule changes NAVSEA suspended RFP N00024-97-R-2200 for a period up to 90 days. NAVSEA RFP N00024-97-R-2200 is currently posted on the NAVSEA Home Page at WWW.NAVSEA.NAVY.MIL. NAVSEA plans to release the suspension and amend the solicitation on 21 February 1997.
