perform Drydock repairs including, but not limited to the following
Minimum Items: 1) Renew Steering Compartment Deck Drains. 2) Inspect
and Repair Sponsons. 3) Clean in-place main propulsion generators. 4)
Inspect tail and line shaft bearings. 5) Overhaul, renew, and test
valves. 6) Inspect steering systems. 7) Transit under tow to & from
Contractors facility. 8) Preserve underwater body. 9) Clean and inspect
sewage & grey water collection and holding tanks. 10) Preserve
superstructure. 11) Renew corrosion preventive zinc anodes. 12)
Temporary Logistics. 13) Routine Drydocking. Indefinite Items Include,
but not limited to the following: 1) Welding Repairs. 2) Remove,
inspect and reinstall propeller shafts. 3) Renew water lubricated shaft
bearing. 4) Rebabbitt and align shaft bearings. 5) Remove, inspect and
reinstall propellers. 6) Repair leaking fittings. 7) Clean and inspect
sewage and grey water collection and holding tanks. 8) Remove,inspect
and reinstall rudder assembly. 9) Additional Temporary logistics.
Vessel's homeport is Governors Island, NY. Vessel length is 180'
overall. Vessel availability schedule is 02 June 1997 for 42 days. The
place of performance for this vessel is geographically restricted.
Work will be performed in the New York Harbor above the narrows to
Throgs Neck (including Kill Van Kull and Arthur Kill). There will be a
non-refundable charge of $100.00 required in the form of a certified
check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested
drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at
300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. The proposed contract
listed here is a total set aside for small businesses. Plans and
specifications will be issued on or after 12 Mar 97. All responsible
sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the United States
Coast Guard. This notice is for informational purposes for Minority,
