Bid allows for deduct items as follows: Deduct #1 -- labor, materials and equipment required for installation of one light standard; Deduct #2 -- labor, materials and equipment required for the installation of two light standards; Deduct #3 -- labor, materials and equipment required for four light standards,, work associated with the fence modifications and expansion of parking area to southeast and northwest of existing access road. Note that labor, materials and equipment required to replace the existing asphalt at the access road remains a part of the base bid and is not included in this deduct item. Site walk is scheduled for March 19, 1997 at 9:0 a.m., local standard time, at Fort Snelling Employees Club site. Failure to tour the job site will not relieve the successful bidder to whom contract is awarded from performing all work in accordance with drawings and specifications. Performance period is 30 calendar days; bid guaranty, payment and performance bonds are required; a Notice to Proceed will be given on or sooner than May 1, 1997, weather permitting.
