BOSWELL (508) 233-4946 (Site Code DAAK60) The U.S. Army Soldier Systems Command has a requirement consisting of a base year and three (3) one year options of Lab exhaust hoods, latrine exhausts, and all building exhausts. The contractor shall, semi-annually, (meaning 6 months between each inspection and maintenance) inspect and maintain each exhaust unit. During inspection, the contractor shall examine, clean, adjust and lubricate each exhaust unit and replace any broken or missing screws, or bolts on motor covers, motor mountings, and fan mounting hardware. Measurement of flow rate for fume hoods shall be taken at the front of the hood opening at approximately the center. Measurement of flow rate for latrine exhaust systems will be taken at the exhaust grille. Measurement of flow rate at chase exhaust fans shall be taken at the discharge on the roof. Latrine exhaust grille shall be removed and cleaned at each inspection. During the process of performing maintenance service, the contractor shall supply and replace all belts once a year on all exhaust units. Any other parts to be replaced such as motors, shafts, bearings, pulleys and motor mounts, shall not be replaced without prior written approval from the contracting officer. Only parts that are correctly designed and suitable in all respects shall be used. The SIC Code for this acquisition is 7349.
