Lyndon B. Johnson Space Center (JSC)as a Request for Offers (RFO) for
approximately 250 desktop workstations of three configurations
including 21" monitor analysis personal computers, 17" monitor design
personal computers, and 21" monitor design personal computers in
support of various directorates at JSC. JSC will perform an evaluation
for the purpose of selection which best fits the organizational
requirements. The anticipated contract will include delivery of state
of the art hardware, integration of a standard software load (provided
by JSC), and installation which requires a thorough knowledge of
Windows NT Workstation and Windows95, backup and restore of existing
data from network devices and application installation. The Government
anticipates RFO release approximately 15 days after this synopsis
appears in the CBD. Proposals will be due within 30 calendar days of
RFO release. Award is anticipated 2 weeks after proposal due date. This
procurement is being conducted under the NASA MidRange Pilot Test
Program approved by the Office of Federal Procurement Policy. The RFO
is issued as a full and open competition. The SIC code and the small
business size standard for this procurement are 3575 and limited to
1,000 employee respectively. The offeror shall state in their offer
their size status for this procurement. All responsible business
sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.
The DPAS rating for this procurement is DO-C9. Selection and award will
be in accordance with NFS 1871.604 with the value characteristics as
outlined in the RFO. Technical acceptability will be determined by
information submitted by the offeror providing a description in
sufficient detail to show that the product offered meets the
Government's requirement. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See Note
"B". Prospective offerors shall notify this office of their intent to
submit an offer. It is the interested party's responsibility to monitor
this site for the release of amendments (if any) to the synopsis and/or
to the solicitation after it is released. Potential offerors will be
responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and its
