the National Library Service for the Blind and Physically Handicapped
(NLS/BPH) include input and processing of transactions and production
of monthly reports tracking agency accountability for Library-furnished
sound reproduction equipment and accessories. Data for entry comes from
several sources. Manufacturers of this equipment report serial numbers
of approximately 60,000 new items per year mailed to lending agencies,
multistate centers, or NLS/BPH and the removal of approximately 25,000
items. Each month the agencies report machines gained and lost within
agencies. An existing set of programs written in ANSI COBOL for an IBM
computer will be provided to the contractor. Requests for solicitation
