Defense Organization (BMDO), Interceptor & Surveillance Technology
Directorate (BMDO/TOS) requires technical, systems engineering, and
programmatic services that will conduct analyses, develop, assess, and
refine innovative concepts in sensor technologies, plan major
experiments, accomplish data reductions and analysis of experiment
results, and conduct system engineering studies on sensor systems.
Personnel qualifications will include specialized experience in
visible/UR/IR sensors, radar, space systems, ballistic missile command,
control, and communications, lethality, survivability, active and
passive phenomenology, space and aircraft mission planning, experiment
development and data reduction, and data fusion. The significant
evaluation areas for award will include: Technical Capability,
Experience & Management (Personnel & Corporate), Past Performance, and
Cost. The contract will be an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity,
Cost-Plus- Fixed-Fee type, with a 2-year base period and three 1-year
options. Planned contract award is August 1997. The Government intends
to post to the BMDO Acquisition Reporting Bulletin Board (BARBB) the
draft Statement of Work, other technical description documents, and RFP
information as it becomes available. Interested parties may gain access

provide the following information in order to log on to the BARBB for

FAX number, CAGE code, Type of business (large, small, SDB,

disadvantaged businesses as defined in Standard Industrial
Classification Code 8711, Engineering Services, Military and Aerospace
Equipment and Military Weapons ($20M) are invited to submit to the
contracting office as early as possible, but not later than 15 days
after this notice, evidence of their capability to perform the
contract, in order to assist in a set-aside determination in accordance
