39 -- REWORK OF GLATT CONTROL SYSTEM SOL DAAA03-97-R-0028 DUE 022197 POC Thaddious Kee, Contract Specialist, 501/540-3040. Design, test, manufacture, installation and acceptance for Replacement/Upgrade of a new material feed system for the existing Glatt fluidized bed granulator weigh/feed system. The Glatt granulator is used in the production of pyrotechnic compositions. Interfacing with a new control system is applicable. The contractor will further be responsible for the removal of the existing vacuum load and weigh system piping which was used to load the Acrisons and transport the weighted components to the mixing bowl location. Acrisons weighers and associated system components which will no longer be required are to be completely removed. Some of the removal may involve asbestos removal as part of the demolition. The contractor will also be responsible for removal of the existing sloped front control cabinets in the control room. Wiring and conduit from this control cabinet to obsolete items it controlled will be completely removed. The vacuum feed system used to supply the mix components shall be removed. All associated Government Furnished Property: Micro Pulse Air dust collection system, model 365-10-300, serial # 87036811, as an "as is" basis. Repairs to the dust collector shall be included in the contractor's proposal. A Hybrid-Type contract utilizing Best Value to evaluate is the anticipated acquisition method. Glatt Mixer model WSG-300 located at Bldg. 32-620 is used primarily to manufacture smoke mixes in the smoke mix production process. This is an unrestricted acquisition. Delivery/Performance period F.O.B. Destination, Pine Bluff Arsenal, Pine Bluff, AR 71602-9500. Project is subject to fund availability.
