Miner The Forest Service intends to award a fixed price contract for rehabilitation of the flood and fire damaged areas in and around Buffalo Creek, Jefferson County, Colorado. Services to be procured include contour felling and dozer ripping on the slopes of the burn area, creation of sandbag erosion control barriers and check dams on the surrounding drainage areas, and sediment removal and sediment stabilization on Buffalo Creek and area drainages. Estimated project start date is May 12, 1997 with performance extending through the summer season. All responsible sources may submit an offer which will be considered. (0036)
