A -- SOLAR THERMAL ELECTRICITY RESEARCH SOL Synopsis No. 7-374 POC Jerome K. Hicks, Team Leader, Acquisition Services Center, (303) 384-7392. The National Renewable Energy Laboratory anticipates issuing an RFP February 1997 for the performance of research and development in the general area of solar thermal electricity. The primary objective of the research and development will be to explore new ideas for converting solar thermal energy electricity that can result in a major reduction in cost of solar thermal electricity or that could create significant new markets for solar thermal electricity. Analytical, modeling, or experimental investigations are appropriate for the proposed work. Funded projects will be aimed towards a proof-of-concept of ideas that are outside the mainstream of ongoing research and development. Multiple awards for a (1) one year period of performance are planned. This CBD is not a request for proposals. Telephone requests will not be honored.
