Z -- PHASE II ASBESTOS/LEAD ABATEMENT, FT WADSWORTH AND FLOYD BENNETT FIELD, NAVAL STATION, STATEN ISLAND, NY SOL N62472-96-B-0015 POC NINA FERRARO, Contract Specialist, 610-595-0633. The purpose of this modification is to make the following change to the General Description: The work includes the removal and disposal of asbestos containing floor tile, pipe and fitting insulation, plaster, transite shingles, transite chimney covers and flue packing; the removal and disposal of lead based paint components from walls, ceilings, baseboards, doors, windows, cabinets, floors, hutches, nooks, hatches, railings, pipes, poles and soffit and fascia; and the provisions of installing new, painting and encapsulating of items with non-asbestos and non-lead containing materials and incidental related work. The structures at Fort Wadsworth are considered Historic and care shall be taken when working in or near these structures. The Historic features of these structures shall be protected from damage and rehabilitation work will be consistent with applicable guidelines. Work under this Contract shall conform to The Secretary of the Interior's "Standaards for Rehabilitation and Guidelines for Rehabilitating Historic Buildings". NO OTHER CHANGES (0034)
