STUDY AVAILABILITY US Special Operations Command Acquisition Center announces the completion of it's Multi-mission Advanced Tactical Terminal (MATT)/Digital Map System (DMS) Integration study. The study examines the feasibility of integrating MATT/DMS onto the Special Operations Forces (SOF) fleet of fixed and rotary wing aircraft through a coordinated effort to increase cross-platform commonality and software reuse. Migration to an open system architecture environment is expected to decrease life cycle costs for the SOF fleet. The study concentrates on leveraging commercial products in the display generation and flat panel display technology arenas to support color and high resolution video capability.
