items: (1) Replace Hanger Door Section Assembly, (2) Overhaul Stern
Tube Seals, (3) Service Both Controllable Pitch Propeller Hubs, (4)
Modify Controllable Pitch Propeller Hydraulic Piping, (5) Service Both
Onboard Controllable Pitch Propeller Systems, (6) Preserve the
Transducer Hull Rings and Renew the Depth Indicating Transducers, (7)
Preserve the Transducer Hull Ring/Renew DSN-450 Doppler Speed Log
Transducer, (8) Overhaul, Renew, and Test Valves, (9) Service Rudder
Assemblies, (10) Inspect & Repair Fin Stabilizer Systems, (11) Renew
Fin Stabilizer Seals and Bearings, (12) Overhaul Anchors and Anchor
Chains, (13) Preserve Antennas & Antenna Foundations, (14) Preserve
Freeboard, (15) Preserve Superstructure, (16) Renew Corrosion
Preventive Zinc Anodes, (17) Temporary Logistics, etc. Indefinite items
include but are not limited to the following: (1) Welding Repairs, (2)
Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shaft, (3) Remove, Inspect
and Reinstall Intermediate Shaft, (4) Remove, Inspect and Reinstall
Thrust Shaft, (5) Renew Shaft Covering (25%), (6) Renew
Water-Lubricated Shaft Bearings, (7) Renew Shaft Sleeves, (8) Renew Fin
Shaft Sleeve, (9) Preserve Underwater Body, (10) Preserve Voids and
Ballast Tanks, (11) Provide Temporary Messing, (12) Provide Temporary
Berthing, (13) Ultrasonic Testing, etc. Vessel's homeport is
Portsmouth, VA. Place of performance is restricted to a 75 mile radius
of homeport. Vessel availability schedule is 9 June 1997 for 49 days.
Vessel is a 270 Foot "A" Class Medium Endurance Cutter. All referenced
documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600,
Norfolk, VA. A charge of $100.00 is required in the form of a certified
check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested
drawings. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit
bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specificationswill be
issued on or after 24 FEB 97. All responsible sources may submit a bid
which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. "This
