The National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) has a requirement to purchase services for the Division of Nutrition Research Coordination (DNRC) to upgrade the Human Nutrition Research and Information Management (HNRIM) System, with the overall purpose of providing more current and efficient data collection and availability of data to end users. This encompasses several tasks which are as follows: 1) To create a relational database for HNRIM that will improve the ability to track financial and other information from year to year. 2) To enhance the quality and timeliness of data submitted by NIH and other Federal agencies that fund research in human nutrition. 3) To enhance the preparation of required reports, in terms of currency of the reported data. 4) To enhance the ability of end users to query the database. 5) To provide an update utility so that the HNRIM administrator can make modifications to the database. All responsible small business sources may submit a quotation, which if timely received, shall be considered by the agency. All requests for quotations must be within the Simplified Acquisition Threshold $100,000. It is anticipated the Request for Quotation (RFQ) Number NIH-NIDDK-97-236 will be available within fifteen (15) days after the publication date of the synopsis. Receipt of quotations will be due ten (10) after the release of the RFQ. The anticipated award date is March 1, 1997.
