The Personnel Hoist assembly shall consist of a wheeled unit containing a compact mounting of components including hoisting machinery, counterweight system, powered steerible carriage wheels, electrical enclosure and controls, safety systems, powered platform boom, and personnel platform. Due to the stringent requirements of applicable OSHA and ANSI Standards and the critical nature of the use of this product, design and fabrication of the hoist assembly shall be limited to companies which specialize in personnel handling equipment. The Contractor shall certify all components for their intended operation. The unit shall be constructed so as to facilitate normal maintenance.
