United States Postal Service is solicitating for proposals to lease an
existing building, space to be modified, or a building to be
constructed for the Freeport, ME Post Office. The preferred area is
within the geneal vicinity of the existing Freeport, ME Post Office.
The space requirements are 6,500 sq. ft. net interior space; 26,500
sq.ft. driveway, parking & maneuvering; 576 sq.ft platform; and 88,350
sq.ft. minimum site size. The lease term is for 20 years with three
5-year renewal options. Proposals will be received trhough March 7,
1997, and must be submitted by principals only, on specified forms and
in accordance with the official advertisement for space. Solicitation
packages may be purchased by sending a non-refundable cashier's check
or money order made payable to "USPS Disbursing Officer" in the amount
of $25.00 to PO Box 800, Winthrop, ME 04364-0800. Interested parties
are encouraged to submit their pckages by one of the methods offered by
