The Frenchburg Job Corps Center, Mariba, Kentucky is preparing to implement a Culinary Arts Instruction program for students on the Center and it is looking for potential contractors at this time. A solicitation will be issued within the next 30 days. It is anticipated that the contract, when awarded, would include a Base Year and four Option Years and would operate on a Job Corps program year basis, with the Job Corps program year running from July 1 of a given year through June 30 of the next year. The instructional program would operate five days a week, approximately 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. year round except federal holidays and other designated break periods. The class would consist of approximately 10-13 students of diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. The Job Corps Center will be providing a fully equipped training kitchen and classroom for use by the contractor. The Center is requiring that the Instructor be certified/licensed as a teacher in the State of Kentucky.
