V -- HOTEL GUEST ROOMS, MEETING ROOMS AND RELATED SERVICES DUE 022597 POC Carl Stottuth, Contracting Officer, (202) 874-5034 The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) may require the services of qualified hotels to provide the OCC with guest rooms, meeting rooms, and related services during 1997. The OCC may use such services to support OCC employees who are in business travel and to support specific OCC mission-related functions such as conferences, meetings, training seminars, etc. Although the OCC may have hotel requirements anywhere in the country, the agency's requirements primarily will be in Washington, D.C.; New York, NY; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Kansas City, MO; San Francisco, CA; and Chicago, IL. The OCC requests that hotels be 1) compliant with the Hotel and Motel Fire Safety Act of 1990, 15 U.S.C. 2201 et seq. (Public Law 101-39) and hold a Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) certification number; 2) compliant with the American with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines and; have 3) the rating of First Class or higher per the Official Hotel Guide Classification System. Hotels interested in doing business with the OCC should provide a brief capability statement describing the hotel (FEMA certification number, location, size, proximity to local transportation, amenities, etc.) and a list of references including contact points with current telephone numbers. The OCC will evaluate the information provided and add to its bidders list any hotel that it determines acceptable and capable of providing the quality services it needs. The OCC will evaluate only those requests that contain all of the required information. It is not necessary for hotels that have done business with OCC in the past to submit information; they will be added automatically. Certified acceptable hotels will receive a copy of hotel opportunities in their city as they occur. All requests for consideration must be received by February 25, 1997.
