This action originally publicized in the CBD dated 01/02/97 and revised on 01/07/97, is hereby clarified as follows. The current requirements for the manufacture, testing, and delivery of Large Pulpers (LPs), Small Pulpers (SPs), and Metal/Glass Shredders (MGS) have been divided into three (3) separate lots. Lot A represents the Government's total requirements for the MGS and is set-aside for small business. Lot B, which represents 50% of the Navy's SP and LP requirements, is set-aside for small business. Lot C, which represents 50% of the Navy's SP and LP requirements, is unrestricted. Offers from large businesses will be accepted for Lot C only. Offers from small businesses will be accepted for all three lots; however, the Government will not award all three lots to one offeror. Award possibilities include: (i) one contract for Lots A and B combined and one contract for Lot C; (ii) one contract for Lots A and C combined and one contract for Lot B; or (iii) one contract each for Lots A, B and C.
