R -- ENGINEERING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICES FOR THE F/A-18, AV-8 AND T-45 AIRCRAFT SYSTEMS SOL N00421-96-R-5018 DUE 030597 POC JoAnn R. Gough, Contracting Officer, (301)-342-1824 X150. The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division has a requirement for engineering and technical support services pertaining only to the F/A-18, AV-8, T-45, and only systems for which McDonnell Douglas Aerospace is the prime system contractor. The specific tasks encompass the following areas: systems engineering, analysis & simulation, technology investigations, software engineering, and flight demonstrations. The period of performance shall be for a minimum of one year, not to exceed five years. The estimated start date is during the fourth quarter of fiscal year 1997. The total estimated manhours for this effort is approximately 97,000 for the five year period. Negotiations shall be conducted solely with McDonnell Douglas Aerospace in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. The contract type is anticipated to be an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity type contract. Numbered Note 26 is applicable. See Numbered Note(s): 22. (0021)
