K -- MARINE SOL 1443IB553097003 DUE 040897 POC Georgi Wellington, Contracting Officer, (502) 758-2251, ext.22 Mammoth Cave National Park intends to award a sole source contract to Tekno, Inc., Cave City, Kentucky, for the design, construction and installation of a complete drive train system to propel a vehicle ferry with a single paddle wheel design. The system will be of similar design and type, which was designed, engineered and installed by Tekno and currently in use at Mammoth Cave NP on the Green River. Due to the remote location of the Park, the ferry cannot leave the Park anytime during construction or installation. Tekno is located nearby, which makes them available for technical assistance or trouble shooting should any problems arise. Solicitation may be requested via mail or via FAX at (502) 758-2349.
