The US Army intends to extend Contract DAAA21-94-D-0003 for one year to process a series of advanced explosive formulations consisting of energetic materials such as CL-20 and to provide small scale processing equipment and development of pilot and production scale processes. Additional delivery orders will be placed. The US Army intends to solicit and negotiate with Thiokol Corporation, Brigham City, Utah. This contract action is based on the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, "Only one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy agency requirements".
