SOL 0-7-10-67-CD-G06 DUE 021597 POC Contract Specialist, Anthony Brown, 202-283-1133 Description: The Internal Revenue Service intends to place an order with Storage Technology Corporation for the installation of Escon (fiber) channel interface upgrade components for STK 4400 Automated Tape Library (ATL). This equipment is located at the Martinsburg Computing Center (MCC), Martinsburg, West Virginia. The acquisition and installation includes six Host Connections and four 2 Escon Adapters to be installed on a STK 4400 Automated Tape Library (ATL). This upgrade is needed to provide Escon connectivity for ATL. Escon connection is needed for the ATL to be used for TRDE storage requirements and relocation to the MCC Annex where FDDI connection is required. All responsible sources who can provide this upgrade equipment and installation service shall submit written responses which shall include: [1] price(s), FOB destination; [2] a description of the hardware offered in sufficient technical detail to show compatability; [3] a POC (name and telephone number); [4] GSA Contract Number if applicable; [5] delivery date; [6] business size; and [7] payment terms. Written quotes must be submitted by February 5, 1997. No solicitation will be issued, therefore, such requests for solicitation package will be considered non-responsive. All questions must be submitted in writing and received by facsimile (202/283-1514). To be considered, submissions must be made within 15 days of the Commerce Business Daily (CBD) publication date of this notice.
