The work to be performed under this project involves the replacement of existing wood framed, double-hung, exterior windows and their frames. The windows vary in size. The work also includes the replacement of wood framed, fixed glass transoms above the second and third floor window units and repair/replacement of the deteriorated concrete window sills. Exterior asbestos/lead abatement during window removal as identified in the specifications and on drawings. The estimated construction cost range is $250,000 to $500,000. The estimated completion time is 266 calendar days. For requests made after the supply is exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. Pre-bid walk-thru is scheduled for March 6, 1997, at 10:00 a.m., local time.
