703-602-8200 The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to issue
orders on n multiple occasions over the period of Basic Ordering
Agreement N00024-97-G-4068 with Solar Turbines Inc., 2200 Pacific
Highway, P.O. Box 85376, San Diego, California 92186-5376. Orders will
be issued to disassemble, test, inspect and analyze T-1000S and
T-1302S Gas Turbine Engines to be installed aboard the CG 16/26 Classes
and MCM 1 Classes. Orders will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)
(1). Solar Turbine Inc. is the original equipment manufacturer and sole
producer of the T-1000S and T-1302S Gas Turbine Engines. It is the only
company which possesses the the facilities and detailed knowledge to
perform the tasks described. No other source has the technical
qualifications and the necessary resources to perform the work
described herein, nor will any other supplies or services satisfy the
Navy's requirements. Companies interested in subcontracting
