The Navy requires manufacture of one each temperature chamber providing
a minimum temperature range from -40 degrees to +350 degrees
fahrenheit. Control within +/- 1.8 degrees must be provided, with
temperature stabilization within 35 minutes. Material of manufacture
for the interior is Type 304 stainless steel; minimum interior free
space shall be 5 feet wide by 5 feet deep by 5 feet high. Exterior
dimensions shall not exceed 7 feet wide by 11 feet deep by 6 feet high.
Non-explosive and non-ozone depleting refrigerant is required.
Electrical service available at the site for installation is 460 volt,
3-phase, 60 cycle. A microprocessor-based temperature
programmer/controller and a circular chart recorder shall be provided.
