DESCRIPTION OF WORK -- The work includes the following: A. Booster Pump Station 330927 -- Install approximately 420 meters of 250 mm PVC C900 waterline and all appurtenances to cross connect the 350 mm line currently feeding Booster Pump Station 330927 from Well 22000 to an existing 300 mm line that runs along Rifle Range Road to the 33 Area, including isolation valves, ac pavement repair, and all related incidental work. Remove on 126 L/S pump at Booster Pump Station 330927 and replace with one dual suction, split case 75.7 L/S booster pump, including modifications to motor starters and all related incidental work. B. Filtronics Iron/Manganese Removal Plant Construct 126 L/S booster pump station on south side of Vandegrift Boulevard, including pump, concrete pump pad, piping and valves, modifications to electrical supply and existing chain link enclosure, and all related incidental work. Install approximately 830 meters of 600 mm ductile iron pipeline and all appurtenances from water treatment plant to Reservoir 22033 including isolation valves, 25 mm electrical conduit, conductance probe, and all related incidental work complete and ready for use. -- The estimated cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. -- Firm Fixed Price Contract. -- Contract duration is approximately 135 calendar days. -- Bids will be considered from all responsible sources. -- This project is unrestricted. -- The Standard Industrial Code is 1623 and the annual size standard is $17 million. -- It is recommended the subcontracting plan goals reflect a minimum goal of 5% for Small Disadvantaged Business subcontracting effort. -- NOTE: Plans and specs will not be mailed to firms within a 20 mile radius of the issuing office. A fee will be charged for all plans and specs.
