The North Cascades National Park Service Complex will issue a Request for Quotations for the purchase of a steel or aluminum sectional barge, two sections, overall size 20' x 40' x 4' deep, with attached rake. Other than new material will be accepted. Delivered to Hozomeen Campground within Ross Lake National Recreation Area of North Cascades National Park, in the State of Washington. Due to the wilderness nature of this campground, transport of the barge sections must be via Canada and a 38-mile gravel road with two single lane bridges. The National Park Service will remove barge sections from trucks, and assemble with hardware to be provided by the Contractor. The Standard Industrial Code is 3731 (Ship Building and Repairing). The size standard is 1,000 or fewer employees. The proposed solicitation is "Small Business Set-Aside" in accordance with FAR 52.219-6. A firm fixed price contract will be awarded. Anticipated award date will be March 1, 1997.
