Work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and performing all work in strict accordance with those specifications, schedules and drawings forming parts thereof, for the Repair and Replacement of the Fire Alarm System located in Section B of Building 36. Work is to include the replacement of obsolete fire alarm equipment in Building 36, Section B, basement through the fifth floor, with new equipment which is compatible with the existing central fire alarm system and which complies with NFPA and ADA requirements. Existing fire alarm systems are Pyrotronics and Notifier Systems. This work must be accomplished in stages per the drawings. The work shall be performed by a Fire Alarm contractor who has several years experience in installing and modifying fire alarm systems similar to those located at the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA). All work is to be accomplished in strict accordance with applicable NIMA, EPA, NFPA and OSHA requirements. The performance period for this project is 210 days. Construction will occur in secure and non-secure areas and the contractor shall be required to perform some work on premium time to eliminate disruption of Government Services.
