Ray, (703) 693-5016 The Defense Supply Service-Washington, on behalf of Headquarters, Department of the Army, Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Personnel (ODCSPER) intends to acquire FIP Technical Support Services for the operation and maintenance of the Army Civilian Forecasting System (CIVFORS) . Activities are to include but not to be limited to Operational Support, Database Management and Maintenance, Data Quality Assurance, Software Maintenance, Documentation, Analysis Products and Support, Operational Support, Training and others. The CIVFORS system provides the necessary projection of civilian strength and personnel transactions (i.e., accessions, retirements, separations, transfers, etc) . The scope of work to be performed under the contract resulting from this solicitation will provide projected and supporting functions for the existing CIVFORS system. The projected period of performance of this requirement is for one base year with an estimated start date in September 1997 and will include four one yearoptions. The Government intends to release Request for Proposal (RFP) Number DASW01-97-R-0032 requesting offerors to provide a price for multiple labor categories on a fixed price basis utilizing a Government provided estimate for Other Direct Costs (ODCs) . The contract resulting from this solicitation is intended to be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) type contract from which Task Orders and Delivery Orders will be issued.
