Underwater acoustic release for current meter deployment in 200 meters. Must be capable of supporting and releasing a 500 pound load and operating within the 5-50 KHz range; one (1) Benthos DS-7000-1 Acoustic Deck Set or Equivalent. System for commanding acoustic release systems. Must be capable of releasing the Benthos Model 866-A and 875 releases. Must operate across the 5-50 KHz range and incorporate up to 16 digitally tunable receiver/transmitter channels. The Delivery Date in Silver Spring is requested for no later than February 23, 1997. Quotes on other than the requested Benthos model must be accompanied by specifications. Interested parties must respond to this synopsis by no later than 16 Jan. 1997.
